A proper introduction
Sophisticated.
Still very much me.
Warm, outspoken and a little sarcastic; much more interested in a real conversation than an impressive performance.

Rhea Kay. Scottish, with the humour to match.
The person behind the name
Hello.
I’m Rhea.
I’m a Scottish writer and creator based in East Lothian. I’m intelligent, curious and creative, with a down to earth outlook and a fairly well developed sense of sarcasm. I like people who have something to say, and I’ve usually got something to say back.
I’m working class and comfortable with it. I can appreciate a beautiful room, a lovely meal and the effort that goes into making an occasion feel special. None of that requires putting on a different personality, or pretending I was raised in a castle.
Writing is a big part of my life. So are art, gaming and the sort of questions about the universe that start innocently enough and somehow swallow an entire evening. I get absorbed in the things I love, and that enthusiasm tends to be catching.
My humour can be dry, my opinions can be strong, and there may be the occasional “bloody hell”. But warmth matters to me. You don’t need a polished opening line or a list of impressive achievements to have a good conversation with me.
I’m picky about who I spend time with, and I like to be spoiled. Thoughtfulness and consideration go a long way with me. I’m extremely direct and upfront, so you’ll know where you stand.
I will not tolerate demands, entitlement or intimidating behaviour from men. If you speak badly about other companions, you will blacklist yourself from any future bookings.
The things I care about
A voice.
And a bit of action.
Advocacy has been an important part of my life. Challenging stigma matters to me, especially when it affects people who are already being pushed to the margins.
My advocacy has covered addiction, homelessness, domestic and sexual abuse, and the rights and experiences of sex workers. I’ve previously worked with the media and alongside the local authority, the University of Edinburgh and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) to challenge stigma and help bring changes to practice.
I ultimately decided to move on from that work, but I haven’t stopped caring or speaking up. I still advocate for marginalised communities, particularly people experiencing addiction and sex workers.
I regularly use money I earn through sex work to help people in financial need. Every Christmas, I like to buy Christmas dinners for families on low incomes who otherwise couldn’t afford them.
Practical help matters to me. So does treating people with dignity, whatever their circumstances.
What you can expect
Present, personable
and entirely myself.
Clear communication before we meet. Respect for our time and boundaries. And a companion who brings her own personality to the occasion.
Beyond the introduction
There’s always
another interest.
Horror games, creative projects, writing and improbable conversations about physics. There’s quite a bit to talk about.

a proper plan.
A date, a time, a place. Add a little about what you have in mind. Clear arrangements leave more room to enjoy the day.
